Okay, I admit I may have a small (or not so small) infatuation with the Come Sail Away Suite right now! Let’s just call this Come Sail Away Suite week, and then it all makes sense. Have I mentioned I can justify anything??
Read MoreI have a great big Happy Birthday wish for the Case This Sketch challenge. I used bold colours and made my greeting big and filled with good wishes!
Read MoreHere is card that features another great new stamp set, Floral Essence. It has some pretty flower images, some lovely sentiments and a coordinating punch. It is a perfect place to start if you are new to stamping, as you get both images and sentiments in one set. There is also some gorgeous Designer Series Paper that goes with this suite that I featured in a couple of sneak peaks.
Read MoreThe FabFriday challenge is a colour challenge, and it is a beautiful combination of soft and bright. I love these colours together to make a beautiful birthday card.
Read MoreDo you like to walk on the beach and see the birds in the sand and wandering in the water to see what they can find? I live in Wasaga Beach which is on Georgian Bay, so walking the beach and watching the birds is right around the corner for me. It is fun to watch them as they search for bugs and things in the sand and the water.
Read MoreThe annual catalogue from Stampin’ Up! will come to a close very soon. If you don’t have everything you want from the retiring list, you only have until June 3 to get it. While the Geared Up Garage stamp set will be available in the new catalogue, the coordinating Classic Garage DSP will retire. I used some of the DSP for my card today.
Read MoreIt is an exciting time as we move closer to the launch of a brand new Annual Catalogue from Stampin’ Up! And that means lots of new Designer Series Paper (among many other great things), and some new Cut and Create Crafty Cards. #cutandcreatecraftycards
Read MoreThe Stampin’ Up! Only challenge this week is Celebrations. Such a broad subject, there are so many wonderful things to celebrate, starting with each new day. For today though, my card is for a birthday celebration.
Read MoreAs a crafter of any type, we end up with left over bits, projects half done, and pieces we were going to use in a project, but changed things up and did not. In one of my posts I mentioned I had gathered up all those bits and pieces to make them into cards. While I did use some bits at my last Girls Get Away Weekend, I still have lots of goodies in my box, so I’m going to try to pull some out on a regular basis and make them into something!
Read MoreIf you follow my blog, you have seen cards that I post to various challenges, and today I’m playing along with a new one. I have seen cards posted to the Fab Friday Challenge in the past, but this is the first time I decided to play along, and it is a great one. Here is the card I made to share.
Read MoreI’m off to the Spring Stamp-a-Stack, and I’m totally excited!! We will enjoy a great afternoon of crafting and socializing as everyone makes 16 beautiful hand made cards.
Read MoreThe Global Design Project has a sketch challenge this week that I am wild about!! I love the layout and decided to be wild with it. Okay, changing from landscape to portrait may not be all that wild, but I wanted tall trees for my jungle so decided to switch it up a bit.
Read MoreIt’s almost Spring, and soon (we hope) the weather will be warm enough for the motorcycles to come out of winter storage. I don’t ride, but MSH (my sweet husband) does, and I know he has a buddy at work that wants the snow to go away and the nice weather to start so they can ride together. It is those thoughts that inspired today’s card.
Read MoreIt is always nice to have some extra birthday cards on hand, because let’s face it, sometimes we forget someone’s birthday until the last minute. It is then that you really appreciate the fact that you made a few extras a while ago, and have a beautiful handmade card ready to send!
Read MoreI love when I find the perfect sentiment already in a stamp. It makes card making simple, and helps create a card that is just right for the person I want to send it to. This masculine card has just the right amount of teasing fun!
Read MoreI used to own a 1966 Mustang coupe. It was Tahoe Turquoise, and I loved it. When spring arrives and all the old classic cars hit the road again I really miss having it. Since I was playing with the Classic Garage Suite, I decided to make one with my car on it
Read MoreI have spent some time playing with the Classic Garage Suite. I got this a few months ago, and used it for our Girls Get Away Weekend in January, (see the card we made here), but I haven’t used it much since and it was calling to me.
Today’s card could be used for Father’s Day (if you are really organized and want to make one now!), or for Dad’s birthday, or any time you want to let your Father know you think he is great.
The Stampin’ Up! challenge this month for #simplestamping is a birthday card. We can use stamps, ink, paper, and DSP.
