In the package I include a note about upcoming classes, my business card, a little treat, and a card they can send to someone special. Yesterday was my sister Patrice’s birthday, and her son’s decided to surprise her with a dinner of 35-40 of her closest friends and family! It wasn’t a milestone birthday, because they figured that would never surprise her, but it is always fun to celebrate your special day, no matter what the age. This week over at the Global Design Challenge we have a CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) the Designer challenge. This was a fun card to CASE. It is beautiful in its simplicity, and I decided to keep my colour scheme simple as well, using neutral colours in similar tones.

Today I have another card I made using the Delightfully Detailed Memories and More cards. The large cards are 4 x 6 inches in size, so they are bigger than you need for a regular card front. You can use the Memories and More Cards and Envelopes, but I decided to use a regular card base. I just trimmed it to 3 5/8 x 5 1/8 to fit my card base and that gave me an extra piece to use to add a border to my greeting piece.

The Global Design Project Challenge this week is a theme, and the theme is Take Me To The Sea. I wanted to use the High Tide stamp set for my card, the lighthouse was the perfect image to take me to the sea in my mind’s eye.

Today is my daughter's birthday. Happy Birthday Laura! Ever since Laura was little, she has loved animals. Pigs and Cows are two of her favourites along with cats and dogs, but for today I have a Rhino and a little bird for her.
