I love to make and share Welcome Packages. I use these to introduce my stamping business to new people. In the package I include a note about upcoming classes, my business card, a little treat, and a card they can send to someone special. Twice a year Stampin’ Up! has a conference, and this year they are also celebrating their 30th Anniversary. Although there are lots of local events around the world, the main live event was hosted in Orlando, Florida, and I HAD to go!!

My card the other day used some of the Country Lane DSP, and a sentiment from the Contry Home stamp set, both part of the Country Lane Suite in the Holiday Catalogue. If you missed that card, you can see it here. Today my card uses some of the other stamps in the Country Home stamp set. It is a fantastic set with some great stamps that have a real down home country feel.

The people on our lake have a real sense of community, and we share a lot of social activities. It is rather wonderful and unique. We are getting together to celebrate another birthday, so that calls for a custome hand made card!
This time the recipient is a handyman type of guy, always working on some project, so a 'wood theme' seemed like the only way to go.
One of my neighbours at the cottage turned 70 at the end of June. What a great reason to celebrate! Debbie and Bill love spending time at their cottage, so it made perfect sense that her family and friends would gather at the lake to celebrate her milestone birthday. This is the birthday card I made to celebrate her day, and help her enjoy spending time relaxing at the cottage.

The birds have returned from their winter down south, and they are hungry after all that travel. Many mornings, and even through the day there is a line up at the bird feeder on my back deck! I enjoy the chickadees through the winter, but I love to see the other birds return in the Spring.
My card for today is definitely spring inspired, and for the birds who are back and setting up their summer home!
When it comes to celebrating birthdays, it is nice to go all out. Of course we don't want to break the bank to do that, but we want the recipient of the birthday greetings to know that we took the time, and made the effort to select the exact right thing, and spared little or no expense for them. I have spent countless hours looking for the ultimate birthday celebration, and I think I have finally found it.

From the first time I saw the Delightful Daisy DSP at Stampin' Up! OnStage I loved it! The colour combinations are fantastic, the designs are beautiful, and I have loved creating many cards and scrap book pages with it. I can't believe we have had it for almost a year already, and it will likely retire soon. Before that happens I have a few more projects to share with you, and this one is also a Quick and Cute!
