How many things in life are made better by sharing them with someone, or doing things together? Lots and lots and lots!! Stamping is one of the first things that comes to mind. I love stamping, and spending time in my craft studio, but stamping with friends is the best. We did just that on Saturday at my Stamp-a-Stack. You can see pictures of some of the fun on my Facebook page, Great Stamping With Connie.
For today, I have a card that reflects that same sentiment.
I am truly blessed to have many wonderful girlfriends. I love each of them and am grateful to have them in my life, but there is always room for more! As adults, it can be difficult to make new friends, and to find someone new that you really ‘click’ with, is very special. This summer I have been blessed to find a new girlfriend.
Read MoreI love all the products in the Come Sail Away Suite. The stamps, coordinating dies, Designer Series Paper, and the embellishments that coordinate beautifully with these items to give you projects some great finishing touches. As is often the case with Stampin’ Up! products, if you think outside the box, there are some great ways to use these products in ways other than what you may initially think. That was the case with my card for today.
Read MoreI love participating in different challenges. They are great for getting the creative juices flowing, and help you create outside your ‘regular’ crafting box! The FabFriday challenge right now is a colour challenge. Here is the card I made.
Read MoreI love combining bits and pieces from different stamp sets and dies, and that is exactly what I have done for today’s card to wish someone a ‘wild birthday!’.
Read MoreI hosted a Girls Get Away weekend in March, and we had a blast! It is a great time for socializing, crafting, girl fun, and just general de-stressing from our busy lives. Everyone brings whatever craft they want to work on, and we share ideas and inspiration. We have lots of scrap bookers, card makers, those that knit, crochet, read, do flower arrangements, and we had our first quilter at the event in March! It was a wonderful crafting weekend, and I’m already looking forward to the next one.
Read MoreThe Global Design Project has a sketch challenge this week that I am wild about!! I love the layout and decided to be wild with it. Okay, changing from landscape to portrait may not be all that wild, but I wanted tall trees for my jungle so decided to switch it up a bit.
Read MoreSome cards are beautiful, some cards have fancy techniques, and some cards are fun. My card today definitely falls in the fun category!! These two are definitely a great pair.
Read MoreI have been making some baby cards, and had one last kangaroo that I had stamped, coloured and cut sitting on my desk. Since this is Clean Up Friday, I decided that this was what I would use for a card.
Read MoreI recently started selling my cards, and had a customer looking for baby cards. I need to add some to my stash so here is the first one I made.
Read MoreWhen you really want to thank someone, just reach for the Animal Outing stamp set, and you can thank them BIG TIME!!! This is such a great stamp set with the super cute animals, and the sentiments are also fantastic. I love the Wild About You stamp, but for today's card I wanted to send a really big thank you.
Read MoreToday is my daughter's birthday. Happy Birthday Laura! Ever since Laura was little, she has loved animals. Pigs and Cows are two of her favourites along with cats and dogs, but for today I have a Rhino and a little bird for her.
Read More"I'm wild about you" said the giraffe peeking out of the tropical bushes! There are so many great products and embellishments from Stampin' Up! for our card making, and it all leads to fun, fun, fun.
Read MoreHave you played with Brusho Crystals? These are watercolour ink crystals, and they are so much fun to play with. You can sprinkle them directly on water-washed paper, or use them with an Aqua Painter to colour an image you have stamped. They are bright and fun and every time you use them you can create something different and unique. I had made a number of background pieces with my Brusho Crystals, and today my card uses one of those.
Read MoreMy card today is one I made for an organized swap at OnStage in April. As I have posted previously, I was a Display Board stamper for this event, so I had brand new products to play with and share with everyone that attended OnStage in London, Ontario. I wanted my card to be extra special, and one that would show other demonstrators some of the new products and give them a jump on creating their own new cards. I love the new Animal Outing stamp set and coordinating Thinlits Dies, so decided to use them for my swap card. The animals are so cute and the ones in this card are no exception!
Read MoreOn Saturday I posted one of the swaps I made for the Stampin' Up! OnStage conference. The second swap I made used supplies that I was sent to use as a Display Board Stamper for the conference. It was a tremendous honour to be a Display Board Stamper, and one I truly enjoyed. I would love to do this again at another Stampin' Up! event. Today's project is my second swap, and uses products that will be available on June 1 in the new annual catalogue.
