It's Summertime and I'm Grateful

It summertime, and I’m thankful for that, but for lots of other things as well. One of them is the Head Coach at my Artistic Swimming Club, The Toronto Tsunamis. Our season is on summer break right now, but I wanted to make sure she knew how much her efforts are appreciated. I made this Thank You card for her, thanking for her hard work and dedication, and wishing her a wonderful summer with her family.

Come Sail Away Baby

I love all the products in the Come Sail Away Suite. The stamps, coordinating dies, Designer Series Paper, and the embellishments that coordinate beautifully with these items to give you projects some great finishing touches. As is often the case with Stampin’ Up! products, if you think outside the box, there are some great ways to use these products in ways other than what you may initially think. That was the case with my card for today.

The Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge gives us a great opportunity to showcase some of our beautiful Designer Series paper. This card is CASE’d (Copy and Selectively Edit) from a card on page 98 of the Annual Catalogue. Today I’m using the Woven Threads DSP. I love the vintage feel of many of the sheets in this pack, and I have used one of my favourites.

Sparkling Birthday Wishes

The new annual Stampin’ Up! Catalogue has two new embossing powders; Shimmer Black and Shimmer White. Today I decided to play with the Shimmer White, and it is magnificent. I have never embossed one of our DistINKtive stamps, so decided to give it a try. While some of the unique shading is lost doing this, it gave me the perfect opportunity to add some highlights.

Stamparatus To The Rescue

So here is my story. While skiing in March I fell and sprained my thumb. It seemed to take a long time to heal, and is still rather weak, but I didn’t think too much of it. I recently found out I have a torn ligament. The extent of the damage isn’t known yet, I have to go for an MRI, but it may need surgery to fix. On the bright side, the doctor couldn’t believe I’m not in great pain, which thankfully I am not. However it they did give me a splint which I am to wear all the time. Did I mention that this is on my right hand? How will I stamp???
