The Journey of Life

The journey of life is best shared with a friend, and I am truly grateful for all the wonderful friends in my life. My sweet husband, my stamping friends, my girlfriends, and so many others all play an important role in my journey of life. My card today celebrates all my wonderful friends.

This card is also for the Global Design Project challenge, that is a sketch this week. It is a great layout to show off an important sentiment. Here is the banner for the challenge.

My sentiment is from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set. I used my Rococo Rose Stampin’ Write marker to ink up just the first two lines of the sentiment, then I cut it out with the Rectangle Stitched Shapes dies. It is mounted over a piece of 1/2” Scalloped Linen Ribbon in Rococo Rose. The flowers are from the same set, stamped with Versa Mark ink, and heat embossed with the new Shimmer Black embossing powder. I used my Aqua Painter to colour the flowers with Rococo Rose and Old Olive ink, and cut them out with the coordinating dies. The backdrop is a piece of In Colour 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper in Rococo Rose, layered on Old Olive card stock and a Whisper White Thick card base. I love the shimmer and bit of glitter in this new embossing powder.
