The Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge gives us a great opportunity to showcase some of our beautiful Designer Series paper. This card is CASE’d (Copy and Selectively Edit) from a card on page 98 of the Annual Catalogue. Today I’m using the Woven Threads DSP. I love the vintage feel of many of the sheets in this pack, and I have used one of my favourites.

The new annual Stampin’ Up! Catalogue has two new embossing powders; Shimmer Black and Shimmer White. Today I decided to play with the Shimmer White, and it is magnificent. I have never embossed one of our DistINKtive stamps, so decided to give it a try. While some of the unique shading is lost doing this, it gave me the perfect opportunity to add some highlights.

It’s summer and the birds are everywhere, enjoying my bird feeders, and the trees in the yard. The cute bird in my card today is on one of the pieces of Designer Series paper from the Bird Ballad Suite of products. Each year when the annual Stampin’ Up! catalogue is coming to an end I feel a bit sad. All the gorgeous Designer Series Papers that retire will be missed. But then the new catalogue comes and WOW there are is a whole new bunch of gorgeous DSP to play with. Today my card features the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper, and I must say, it is lovely!

Do you like to walk on the beach and see the birds in the sand and wandering in the water to see what they can find? I live in Wasaga Beach which is on Georgian Bay, so walking the beach and watching the birds is right around the corner for me. It is fun to watch them as they search for bugs and things in the sand and the water.

The annual catalogue from Stampin’ Up! will come to a close very soon. If you don’t have everything you want from the retiring list, you only have until June 3 to get it. While the Geared Up Garage stamp set will be available in the new catalogue, the coordinating Classic Garage DSP will retire. I used some of the DSP for my card today.

Today it’s time for the SUO challenge, and the theme is Spring. Aren’t we all happy to say hello to Spring and some warmer weather? I know I am!! When I think of Spring, my thoughts turn to early bulbs bursting into bloom and adding some colour to our day. I love to see crocuses opening with their bright purple colour.
