Did you watch the Royal Wedding? I thought Meghan looked beautiful, and it was easy to see how in love she and Harry are - despite the apparent nerves!! The sermon at the Royal Wedding talked about the power of love. We heard how anything is possible in a world filled with love, when love is shared, and when each of us spreads love in everything we do. Today's card reminds us that everything grows with love.
Read MoreThe Global Design Challenge this week is to Case The Designer, and this time the designer is Brian King. Brian is a demonstrator in Atlanta and I have followed him for a while. His cards are clean and interesting, and I love his designs. He inspires me with lots of his designs, and today I am 'case'ing one of his cards.
Read MoreI love the Daisy Delight stamp set and coordinating Daisy punch. They make it easy to create quick and cute cards. I was very happy to see that they would still be available when the new annual catalogue comes out on June 1, but it will no longer be a bundle, so get it now and save 10% when you buy both. The Designer Series Paper I used for today's card will also be gone.
Read MoreThe April 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit You Are My Anchor is so much fun. I love all my Paper Pumpkin kits, it is fun to get a crafting gift delivered right to my door each month, but the April kit is really fantastic. These kits include all sorts of great pieces to create your projects, along with a stamp set and an ink spot. It is all cut and ready to go when the box arrives. You just open up the fun! It is easy to get your own, just follow this link! When I got the April kit I loved the stamp set as soon as I saw it.
Read MoreThis week the Global Design Project has a Theme Challenge for us to play with! My card has lots of sneak peak items that will be available soon in the new annual catalogue.
Read MoreIn a recent blog post I used the Artistically Asian stamp set, and wrote about how much I loved the set. You can see that post here. In that post I used one of the image stamps, but none of the sentiment stamps. I promised to show another card using one of the sentiments from that set, and today is the day!
Read MoreIf you love today's card, you need to act quick! I have used some items that are only available while supplies last, and only until the end of May. One of those items is the Peek-a-Boo Peach card stock. I really like this soft summery colour and will miss it when it retires.
Read MoreMy Spring Stamp-a-Stack was last Saturday, and it was so much fun! Everyone had a great time making cards, visiting, laughing and catching up with stamping friends.
We made some great cards, and made sure everyone was ready for Mother's Day and Father's Day.
The Global Design Project this week is to use this sketch to inspire our cards. I really like working with sketches because they can be very flexible - you can use any stamp set and colours you like, you can turn them, and they are a fun way to be inspired to make different cards with a single layout style. I decided to turn the sketch on it's side for my card.
Read MoreOn Saturday I posted one of the swaps I made for the Stampin' Up! OnStage conference. The second swap I made used supplies that I was sent to use as a Display Board Stamper for the conference. It was a tremendous honour to be a Display Board Stamper, and one I truly enjoyed. I would love to do this again at another Stampin' Up! event. Today's project is my second swap, and uses products that will be available on June 1 in the new annual catalogue.
Read MoreIn April I attended the Stampin' Up! OnStage conference in London, Ontario. Whenever Demonstrators get together we love to swap cards. It is a great way to meet other demonstrators, share ideas and see lots of creative projects. It is tons of fun! This was one of the cards I made to swap. I had 2 different cards, but the other one used brand new product that I had received as a Display Board Stamper, so I couldn't swap that one until mid-morning, after the big catalogue reveal! I knew I wouldn't want to miss out on early morning swapping, so I made a bunch of this card as well.
Read MoreThe Artistically Asian stamp set has been available for a while, but it is a relatively recent addition to my collection, and I must say, I love it!! The images are beautiful line drawings that are easy to stamp, but also easy for the marker to stamp technique.
Read MoreThat is a very familiar saying, and most years that is how it goes. This year has been a little different though. We didn't have too much rain in April around here . . . but we did have quite a bit of snow, and many areas had freezing rain and ice storms. Yikes! I sure hope that is finished now. In any case, there are spring flowers starting to bloom. I have seen crocuses, daffodils and some tulips. My neighbour has some beautiful pansies by the front door, and some of the flowering trees are almost ready to burst open. I love spring, and all the fresh new growth and energy that comes with it. My card today celebrates spring with 3 beautiful flowers bursting open!
Read MoreThe Global Design Project this week is a colour challenge, and they are bright colours that make me think of flowers. I decided that in addition the Global Design Project Challenge, I would also challenge myself to use only these 3 colours, and not even add in a neutral.
Read MoreWell it looks like today is brought to you by the letter F, and the number Four!!!! Remember that from Sesame Street? That was a great show (it may still be, but I don't have any little ones so I'm not up on my children's programming!!), with some really cute characters. Today the letter F brings us four more cute characters.
Read MoreAre you super excited about the new annual catalogue from Stampin' Up! that will be live on June 1? There are some fantastic new stamp sets, bundles, inks, papers, embellishments, . . . I could go on, but there is just way too much to fit in here. I will have lots of posts about new products in the upcoming months, but for now, I have some amazing news.
You do not need to wait until June 1st to get your hands on some beautiful new products! That's right, you can order the Share What you Love Suite products RIGHT NOW!!!!
A birthday is something to celebrate, and that can mean cake and ice cream (or other yummy treats!!), but these days many people are watching what they consume, or have an allergy to ingredients in those treats. I'm happy to say that Stampin' Up! has a solution that will still allow us to celebrate someone's birthday. The perfect birthday card . . .
Read MoreThere are some cards that you need to have in your 'stash' because when you need one, you need it now. Thank you cards can easily fall into that category. If you don’t have a stash, knowing ways to create a quick and cute thank you card is the next best thing.
Read MoreAs stampers, we know that CASEing (Create and Share Everything, or Copy and Selectively Edit) is a great way to create our own beautiful cards. This week for the Global Design Project our inspiration comes from the very talented Allison Okamitsu. The challenge is to CASE her card, so here is my card.
Read MoreI'm still trying to encourage Spring weather, so here are some beautiful butterflies. I have seen one butterfly so far this season, but I'm really hoping the temperature will encourage more to flutter about soon! Hopefully this card inspires them.
