April Showers Bring May Flowers
That is a very familiar saying, and most years that is how it goes. This year has been a little different though. We didn't have too much rain in April around here . . . but we did have quite a bit of snow, and many areas had freezing rain and ice storms. Yikes! I sure hope that is finished now. In any case, there are spring flowers starting to bloom. I have seen crocuses, daffodils and some tulips. My neighbour has some beautiful pansies by the front door, and some of the flowering trees are almost ready to burst open. I love spring, and all the fresh new growth and energy that comes with it. My card today celebrates spring with 3 beautiful flowers bursting open!
These flowers are from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set. I love this set and am really happy that it will be in the new catalogue again. This is a two-step stamp set, and has coordinating thinlits as well, so it is easy to cut out these images. For this card I decided to just use the outline stamp of the flower, and do a Bermuda Bay wash with my Aqua Painter to add colour to my panel. I'm still trying to encourage more spring weather, and get more flowers blooming. Happy Spring everyone!
