Now That's Wild

I hosted a Girls Get Away weekend in March, and we had a blast! It is a great time for socializing, crafting, girl fun, and just general de-stressing from our busy lives. Everyone brings whatever craft they want to work on, and we share ideas and inspiration. We have lots of scrap bookers, card makers, those that knit, crochet, read, do flower arrangements, and we had our first quilter at the event in March! It was a wonderful crafting weekend, and I’m already looking forward to the next one.
As the host, I provide some card tutorials, but there is also lots of time for me to work on my own crafting. I decided that I was going to gather up all the bits and pieces I had around waiting to be turned into cards, and use those throughout the weekend. Here is one of the cards I made.

When I’m planning to do some colouring, I often stamp some extra images. Sometimes I get on a colouring roll and colour them all, and other times the outlines wait until I’m ready to use them and get coloured as I’m making the card. I had coloured a bunch of the animals from the Animal Outing stamp set, and decided to change things up a bit to be more exciting. I decided to colour some of the animals in wild and crazy colours. Not really the animal colour, just fun colours. I chose the Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend for my rhino. I love Bermuda Bay, so it would make a fun rhino, dressed for a wild day out!!
