CASEing An Old Favourite
I made a card a number of years ago now, and really liked the layout. I remember using it a lot at the time, but haven’t made one quite like it in a while. I decided to CASE (copy and selectively edit) it, using new and current products. Here is the original card.
I was making a birthday card for a girlfriend, and this layout seemed perfect. I stayed pretty true to the original layout, but used ribbon instead of a punched border for the middle strip.
The background embossing was done with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder on Polished Pink cardstock. My image is from the Prized Peony stamp set, coloured with Polished Pink and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips stamp set. I framed it with Old Olive cardstock. The ribbon is Grey Granite Shimmer Ribbon.
My girlfriend wears pearls - everywhere. Fancy or casual, the outfit is not complete until the pearls are around her neck. She always pulls it off with total panache, so of course I had to include pearls on her card!
If you are looking for design inspiration, pull out an old favourite and CASE it!
