It is only a few weeks until Valentine’s Day, so it’s time to get some cards and treat holders ready for all your Valentines. Today I have a cute and easy card for someone special in your life.
Read MoreIt’s a new year and a new decade! Welcome to 2020, it is going to be a great year. We kick it all off with a new mini catalogue that goes live on January 3, and Sale-a-Bration (SAB) starts then too. The new catalogue is filled with lots of great stamp sets, dies, papers, embellishments, kits and everything you need for beautiful paper crafting. The best part about this time of year though, is Sale-a-Bration. For every $60 you spend on anything at all from the new mini, or the annual catalogue, you can select a FREE item from the SAB brochure. It has everything from cute to beautiful, and lots in between! I thought we would start with cute.

Read MoreHow many things in life are made better by sharing them with someone, or doing things together? Lots and lots and lots!! Stamping is one of the first things that comes to mind. I love stamping, and spending time in my craft studio, but stamping with friends is the best. We did just that on Saturday at my Stamp-a-Stack. You can see pictures of some of the fun on my Facebook page, Great Stamping With Connie.
For today, I have a card that reflects that same sentiment.
The days are still lovely, but the nights are cooler, and you can feel that Fall is just around the corner. With that, I often turn my colour choices for cards to oranges, greens, browns, golden yellow, and others that remind us of nature’s beauty as the leaves turn colours.

Read MoreI recently attended a Stampin’ Up! Canada event. It was a business focused seminar, but any time a bunch of demonstrators gather there is bound to be lots of sharing of ideas, both business and creative. I made some swaps to share, because we all love to swap!
Read MoreToday MSH (My Sweet Husband) and I are celebrating 3 months of marriage! If you have been married for many years, congratulations! Relationships take work, and I commend you on working throgh the tough times. You also know that the early days mean adjusting to new routines, and being with the one you love each and every day. MSH and I are settling in to our new routines very nicely, and I love how our days play out. As newlyweds, we celebrate each passing month, making it our special date day. Of course this is the man that bought me flowers every month we were dating, so his romantic side is not new to me! Each month I make a special card for him to celebrate.
Read MoreIt’s almost Spring, and soon (we hope) the weather will be warm enough for the motorcycles to come out of winter storage. I don’t ride, but MSH (my sweet husband) does, and I know he has a buddy at work that wants the snow to go away and the nice weather to start so they can ride together. It is those thoughts that inspired today’s card.
Read MoreLast month at this time (as I’m writing this post) I was getting ready for my wedding. Since then I have been to Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic for my fabulous honeymoon, skied several times including a trip to Quebec, and started to settle into married life!
As we celebrate our one month anniversary with Date Night, I wanted to make a special card for MSH (My Sweet Husband).
I don’t send a lot of Valentine’s, but I usually try to get a few cards out to some friends or family to let them know I’m thinking of them and appreciate them in my life. This year, with the wedding and honeymoon, I have been somewhat behind in my ‘general’ card making, so I haven’t had a chance to make many Valentine type cards. Here is one I did make.
Read MoreI love to stamp, and I love that you can create beautiful handmade cards with some really simple stamping. This card was really easy to make, but packs a big punch (of love!) when you send it to someone special. I made a short video to show you how easy it is to create this card.

Read MoreHave you noticed how so many hand made cards have a ‘feel’ to them? Some feel homey, some feel cozy, some feel fancy and others are bright and sun shiny. To me, today’s card feels like winter freshness.
Read MoreSome cards are beautiful, some cards have fancy techniques, and some cards are fun. My card today definitely falls in the fun category!! These two are definitely a great pair.
Read MoreThis week the Global Design Project Challenge turns 150, and we have a sketch to celebrate with. I love this sketch because it is a great way to show off some of our gorgeous Designer Series Paper. For my card today I decided to use the Garden Impressions 6 x 6 DSP.
