Love You (Lots) For CTS319
Today MSH (My Sweet Husband) and I are celebrating 3 months of marriage! If you have been married for many years, congratulations! Relationships take work, and I commend you on working through the tough times. You also know that the early days mean adjusting to new routines, and being with the one you love each and every day. MSH and I are settling in to our new routines very nicely, and I love how our days play out. As newlyweds, we celebrate each passing month, making it our special date day. Of course this is the man that bought me flowers every month we were dating, so his romantic side is not new to me! Each month I make a special card for him to celebrate. Here is the card I’m giving him today.
I used the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge for my layout. It is a fun design and I love being inspired by sketches. Here is the banner for the challenge.
Isn’t this a great sketch? I used the words love and you from the Well Written Framelits Dies to create the border where the colours change on my card. Once I had cut the words, I used my paper snips to cut the rest of the way across to create the diagonal line for my card, and then embossed it with the Subtle TIEF.
I glued the words a bit lower so the gold foil sheet would show through and my message would really stand out. The trees image is from the Waterfront stamp set, cut with a Layered Circle Framelit, and bordered with a gold foil circle cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies. I layered it all on a piece of Designer Series Paper from Nature’s Poem, and used Thick Very Vanilla for my card base.
