Peaceful Poppy Moments
The Peaceful Moments stamp set and Poppy Moments Dies have been available for almost a year, and although I played with them a lot when they first came out, they have been sitting on the shelf for a while - until today. As we come to the end of last years Annual Catalogue and get ready to launch the new Annual Catalogue on May 4 I have been playing with some of the stamp sets that will continue in the new catalogue that I haven’t used for a while. This is one of them.
I have mixed old and new on this card, as the Pale Papaya and Evening Evergreen cardstock are 2 of the new In Colours. The Designer Series Paper backdrop is from the new Simply Elegant Specialty DSP pack. Although the other side of this paper has a bright Gold pattern on it, I really liked the way the Basic Grey made my poppy ‘pop’, and I love the geometric pattern on this paper. I promise to show off the shine the next time I use this Specialty Paper!
I glued my poppy and leaf layers together, and added the poppy centre with a Dimensional. Building my poppy first, I was able to add Dimensionals to adhere the whole thing to my card as one piece.
My sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set, stamped with Poppy Parade ink and cut with a die from the Painted Labels Die set. It is also adhered to my card with Dimensionals.
