Hello Tulips

I was getting a bit caught up in Christmas cards recently, but wanted to take a break and do some ‘everyday’ crafting. I went to a stamp set I haven’t used for a while, Timeless Tulips, and it was perfect for my task!

This stamp set is one of our DistINKtive stamp sets, so rather than a solid image, it stamps with some shading. I don’t know exactly how they make them, but I love the effect you get when using them. I had been playing the Plaid Tidings 6 x 6 DSP, and had pulled out a piece to use for another card, then changed my mind. I decided to use it for this card, so my tulips are stamped in Rich Razzleberry with Garden Green stems and leaves. I used the Tulip Builder punch to punch out my larger tulip, and the leaves. The simple sentiment on my card is from the same stamp set, cut and bordered with the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I alternated my plaid pieces left and right to add a little interest, rather than using one larger piece.
