Grassy Grove
I recently ordered the Grassy Grove Bundle, and now I’m wondering why I waited so long, I love it.
The first card I made was a bit of a CASE from the January-June catalogue, in that I used Basic Black cardstock to die cut the tree scenery and included the large and small deer die cuts. After that, the card was my own creation, using the New Horizons Designer Series Paper for the background scenery. It is an easy card to craft with just die cuts and DSP to create the scene.
The second card is a similar style and uses another piece of the New Horizons DSP, but this time I used Blending Brushes to colour Basic White cardstock with Garden Green, Granny Apple Green and Soft Suede ink to create my paper for the tree scenery die cut. The deer is stamped this time, using Soft Suede ink and then die cut.
For the last card I decided to play around with some of the stamps and dies that I had not used yet. I used sponge daubers to create shaded colours on my stamps before stamping the tree, flower, and ground images. One deer was stamped and die cut, and the other was cut from the cardstock I had made with the blending brushes for the previous card. I didn’t really have a plan in mind when I started stamping and die cutting pieces, but I really like how the card came together.
