Baby Wipe Technique
My weekly feature That’s Fancy recently shared the Baby Wipe Technique. This is a fun technique that, like many techniques, gives you different results every time.
I used Cherry Cobbler, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape reinkers to create an ink pad on my baby wipe. With the dots of colour side by side, it is easy to get multiple colours on one stamp, giving the fun effect achieved with this technique.
Depending on how you built your ink pad, and the stamp you select, you can get different colours throughout your stamp, similar to my first card, or gradient shading across your stamp, as seen on the dragonflies of my second card.
Once I am finished using the baby wipe as an ink pad, I like to pick it up and ‘pounce’ it on plain cardstock to create an interesting background piece, like the one for this card.
