CASE The Catty

The Stampin’ Up! catalogues are filled with wonderful stamps, dies, papers, inks, embellishments and lots more. A fantastic feature of the catalogue are all the photos of cards and other projects. You never need to be stuck for creative ideas, just open a catalogue and CASE one of the projects that catches your interest.

What do I mean when I say CASE the Catty? CASE stands for Copy And Selectively Edit, so use the catalogue image to spark your creativity. Do you love the layout, the colours, the stamp set, or the whole thing? Take what you love, add your own creative touch and you will be on your way to crafting fun.

This card was CASEd from the card in the bottom right corner of page 10 in the Annual catalogue. I liked how the layers went to the edge of the card base on one side so I used that. I used a stamped image and a die cut image as in the card, and a banner type shape for my sentiment. The rest is my creative touch!

I used the Sailing Home stamp set and coordinating Smooth Sailing Dies for my card, along with a piece of Night of Navy Designer Series Paper from the Neutrals 6 x 6 DSP Assortment pack. The rope down the left edge of the DSP is die cut from the Smooth Sailing Dies.
