Giving Back in the Community
I joined a church in my new area last fall, and this spring I had the opportunity to share card making with the ladies group. Since many of these ladies had never stamped before, and some didn’t even craft, I kept the cards simple, but the results were beautiful.
I put together kits that included cardstock, Designer Series Paper, a stamp, an ink pad, embellishments, Dimensionals, and a piece of Stampin’ Shammy for clean up! Each lady provided their own adhesive.
We met on Zoom and I did a short demonstration on how to stamp and put the cards together, but told them they could make them any way they wished.
These ladies showed they have a creative side, as many of the cards were different from what I had shared.
These are just some of the cards we created to send to shut ins from our congregation, and donate to various organizations as part of our community out reach.
We had a great evening, and lots of fun crafting, and everyone is looking forward to our next card making night. Hopefully our next one can be in person so we can really inspire each other with all the creativity.
It is wonderful to be able to give back in our community, and even better when we have so much fun doing it!
