Celebrating Our Orioles
This spring MSH (my sweet husband) made an oriole feeder for our back deck. We have a seed feeder, a suet box and hummingbird feeder, so an oriole feeder was next on the list! I have to admit, I’m not sure I have even seen an oriole, other than in pictures, but this year I did, and they are stunning. Their bright orange feathers are impossible to miss. I made this card for MSH to celebrate our Monthaversary, and our new friends, the orioles.
I used the Beautiful Trees dies from the Beauty Of Friendship Bundle, and cut the full tree with Garden Green and the leaf layer with Granny Apple Green. My trunk that shows through the leaves, is cut from Soft Suede cardstock. Of course the stars of the tree are my orioles.
I layered this on a piece of Soft Suede Designer Series Paper from the Neutrals 6 x 6 DSP Assortment. I love these DSP packs, the patterns are so versatile, and since they are available in all our colours it is easy to coordinate with any project.
The sentiment is from the Beauty Of Friendship stamp set, stamped with Garden Green ink, and cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
When I gave MSH the card he knew exactly what I was sharing with him. We continue to celebrate our orioles, and all the beautiful birds that stop by to visit us.
