Keeping It Neutral
There are lots of amazing colours in the Stampin’ Up! colour families, but sometimes I like to take advantage of all the lovely neutrals we have as well.
I had stamped this flower from the Prized Peony stamp set using Granite Grey ink, but then changed my mind on the card I was working on. I liked the look of it though, so set it aside for later - - today!
I like the look of monochromatic, and decided to make this a neutral monochromatic card. The Designer Series Paper backdrop is from Peony Garden. I love the Grey Granite Shimmer Ribbon I used for the bow and insider info - it will carry over to the new Annual Catalogue! The sentiment is from the Prized Peony stamp set.
The second card is a CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) from a card from the January card class. I had some pieces left over after I created the class cards, and decided to use those for another neutral look.
The card features two pieces of DSP from In Good Taste. This is a marvellous pack of neutrals, textures, and natural finishes. It is extra big, 24 sheets, and this too will be included in the new catalogue. Yay!!
I bordered my DSP with Pear Pizzazz cardstock. The ribbon on this great masculine card is the Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim, and yes, you guessed it, will be in the new catalogue as well.
Check your email for the full list of retiring products so you don’t miss your last chance to get some of the items that are not on these cards and won’t be around for long!
Today ended up being a clean up day, making cards with some of those bits we all have around. Why not clean up a bit and use some of your bits and pieces. They make great cards.
