Happy Birthday Favs
Today is my birthday, and what better way to celebrate than with some of my Stampin’ Up! favs! I have used some of my favourite colours, stamps and tools to create cards to share with you today.
As you can easily guess, blue is my favourite colour! I used Misty Moonlight and my very favourite (at least for now) Seaside Spray for this card. I will be really sad to see Seaside Spray retire soon. But for now I’m still playing with it. I used my Blending Brushes to add colour to Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper, swirling both blues to create my backdrop. My sentiment is from one of my favourite stamp sets, Ridiculously Awesome.
When the annual catalogue came out last year, I immediately spotted the Boho Indigo Product Medley. This is a box filled all sorts of great items to make fabulous projects - stamps, dies, cardstock, designer series paper, specialty paper, embellishment pieces and ribbon.
I confess that I only recently opened the box to start playing with it, but it is lovely. The flowers on this card are some of the embellishments in the kit, but they are white. I love the Spring blossoms on tress, so decided to colour these flowers pink as I was in a very Spring mood when I made this card!
This card uses two different pieces of the Designer Series Paper in medley. They are all blue patterns, and I love them all! I have combined them with Night of Navy and Basic White cardstock on this card.
For the third card I went back to Misty Moonlight and Seaside Spray - can’t get too much of them!
I used one of the Ornate Borders Dies to cut the edge of a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock for the third card. The sentiment on this card is retired, but it is also one of my favs. We used this on our wedding invitations and thank you cards, and I think it is a great message.
I finished off this card with a piece of cardstock that I embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder, some Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon, and some pretty Pastel Pearls.
I had lots of fun creating in the Craft Studio, and hope you enjoy these cards.
Happy Crafting!
