Handsomely Suited Pockets
I love finding ways to use stamps and dies, that may not be what immediately springs to mind. Today I have those type of cards, using the Handsomely Suited Bundle.
I cut a bunch of pockets with the die from the Suit & Tie Dies. They have straight cuts, so I figured there would be some way to put them together in a pattern. I tried a flower, or sunburst, and a couple other things, but it wasn’t fitting and coming together. Eventually I just laid them in a row, and I liked the look, so here we are!
I used Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Calypso Coral for my pockets. The background layer for the card and sentiment are Merry Merlot, and I embossed the background layer with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. The card base is Mango Melody. The sentiment is stamped with Merry Merlot ink, and punched with the Classic Label Punch.
I love the texture the stitched dies create on each ‘pocket’.
Since I had been playing around with patterns, I had cut several pockets, and had enough left over to make a second card. I made this one landscape, but it has all the same elements as the first card.
Now I can’t decide which one I like better! Do you have a preference? Leave a comment below and let me know if you prefer the portrait or landscape layout for this card.
