That's Fancy - Gate Fold Easel Card
Welcome to another post from the FAB Stampers (Friends Across Borders). We hope you enjoy seeing posts from different crafters, as we all offer something a little different. Today is my turn, and I have a fancy fold card to share.
This card starts as a gate fold card. The front of both cards feature Designer Series Paper from the Pattern Party Host DSP pack. I love the bright colours on one side and the black and white patterns on the back. The image is from the Shaded Summer stamp set.
Moving on to some details
On this card I stamped the image with Poppy Parade ink and used a Blender Pen to ‘pull’ some colour from the edge of the image in to the centre to add some subtle colour to the flower. I added a little green to the leaves with the Light Granny Apple Stampin’ Blend. I also painted the flower with Wink of Stella for a little shimmer. A Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dot embellishes the card with a finishing touch.
For this card I stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink, and coloured the flowers with a Watercolour Pencil in the same colour. I then used the Blender Pen to spread the colour and smooth out the pencil lines. The leaves were coloured with Old Olive.
Here’s where it gets interesting
As you untie the ribbon and open the card, the fun begins! There are 2 additional patterns of the Pattern Party DSP. A Brushed Metallic cardstock die cut with the Painted Labels Dies creates a shiny background for the sentiment that is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink and framed with Rich Razzleberry cardstock. We are finished yet, there is still more fun to this card!
The centre section of the card flips open to reveal one more image and sentiment. This piece is adhered with dimensionals so there is some lift to it. Why do we need lift to this piece you ask. Well, here comes the prettiest part of the card.
The pretty finale
The centre section folds to create the easel, and when you prop it against the bottom sentiment you have a pretty card to sit on your table. The recipient can enjoy looking at the fancy card propped up to show off all it’s beauty.
