Awesome Layout
Do you have a layout you like to use if you need to create lots of pretty hand made cards? With Christmas coming many of us are making lots of cards. It is such an important time to share our love with others by sending a handmade card. With lots to do, it is nice to have a layout that makes a great card, and is easy to create.
This is a great layout to use for ‘assembly line’ crafting, and the end result is lovely.
This is not my original layout, the first time I saw it was on a card I received from our Canadian manager Dale Hampshire. I knew as soon as I saw it that I wanted to CASE (copy and selectively edit) the layout, and I have done that many times now!
I used the pretty Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper for these cards, with the Frosted Gingerbread Stamp Set for my sentiment. My stamping is done in Evening Evergreen and Real Red, and those are my cardstock colours as well. I used the Tailored Tag Punch to punch out my sentiments, and the frames are a 2 inch circle or the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch. Glue Dots are great for adding the Subtle Shimmer Sequins to the cards to add some sparkle and shine.
If you want to make some of the great cards, grab your favourite Designer Series Paper, some cardstock, ink and sentiment along with a couple punches and a pretty embellishment and you are ready to go.
I cut lots of pieces all at once then sit down for a fun crafting and assembly session.
Here are the measurement for cutting cards like these.
Card Base - 11 x 4 1/4 score @ 5 1/2
DSP - 4 x 5 1/4, 4 x 1
Cardstock - 4 1/4 x 1 1/4, plus a scrap for the sentiment frame
Basic White or Neutral cardstock - scrap for sentiment, 5 x 3 3/4 for inside card if you card base is a dark colour
