Missing My Boy
My son turned 30 yesterday. Yikes!! He hasn’t been a boy for a while, he is a man, but as a Mother, he is my first born, so he will always be my boy. I’m just glad I made the decision when I had kids that since they would be getting older, I no longer need to!!!!
My son rides a motorcycle, and loves it, so I often put a motorcycle on his cards, but this year I opted for something different, and one of the sentiments from the Covid-19 Giveback set was perfect. It was a different celebration this year, I haven’t seen him since early March, and I don’t know when I will see him next, but the birthday celebrations must go on.
I used the new In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. There are some incredible photographic images and textures in the DSP, and I really likes this stone wall piece. I layered it on Early Espresso, and a Crumb Cake card Base. The sentiment was printed in Old Olive. I used the Stitched Rectangles Dies to cut it out, as well as an Old Olive card stock frame. Linen Thread provides a little interest and more texture to the card.
