Is That A Cat?
Here is a little quiz for today. What stamp set is this stamp from, and is it a cat? Okay, it’s not from any stamp set, but yes, it is (supposed to be) a cat!
You may know that I have a rule; no naked envelopes. Whenever I send a card, I always stamp the bottom left corner of the envelope. Canada Post is fine with this, and I think it adds a nice touch to the envelope. Recently some people have asked about the unusual stamp on some of my envelopes!
If you have been around Stampin’ Up! for a while, you may recall that they had kits to carve your own stamps. At one of our conventions when they first introduced these kits, we had the opportunity to try them, and carve our own stamp.
If you know me, you know I cannot even draw a stick person to save my life, but at the time, there were no cat stamps, and I wanted one, so my only choice was to try to carve one. It was a bit tough to get the round edges, and carving a little mouth proved to be an almost impossible task. My cat has a mouth, but it looks a little odd. Okay, the whole stamp looks a little odd. It is probably a very good thing I am not a Stampin’ Up! artist!!!! It was fun to try this, but I’m also here to tell you (I know this will make you happy) that I have retired from stamp carving!
