A Wild WOW Rose

Shortly after the Covid-19 virus started shutting down our world as we knew it, I decided to treat myself to a new stamp set. Well a bundle actually!! I knew I would be stamping more, and my business would need to change, so having something new seemed like a nice little reward for all this. I chose the To A Wild Rose bundle.

This was a bundle that I had marked when the annual catalogue first came out, but like most of us, our initial list is sooooo long there is no way we can get it all. I have looked at this a number of times over the last several months, but it never seemed to make it to the top of my list, so I hadn’t ordered it until just a few weeks ago. Now I’m wondering why I waited so long!

My card is made with Rococo Rose and Merry Merlot, with tone on tone stamping in the background, and my main rose as the focal point.

I have decided that the stamp set is named wrong. It is called To A Wild Rose, but I think it should be To A Wild WOW Rose!! It is such a pretty flower, and super easy to create in three easy steps.

I started with the most solid image, stamped in the lightest shade. I used Rococo Rose, that I had ‘stamped off’ (stamp once on scrap paper, then on your card stock).

Second, stamp the partial image in a medium shade. I used Rococo Rose, full strength.

And finally, the border stamp in the darkest shade. I used Merry Merlot.

Of course you can use any combination of colours, or one colour stamped off twice, once and full strength, use only two of the images, or whatever you like. The options are endless, and with the photopolymer stamp set it is super easy to stamp your multiple images.

I will be playing with this set some more, and I have hardly even touched the dies yet!!
