Enjoying The Birds

As life slows down, I have been spending more time watching the birds that come to visit at my feeders. As I write this, I can say today was definitely Woodpecker day at the feeder. I had both Hairy and Downy Woodpeckers come to visit. We have seen Pileated Woodpeckers in the trees behind the house, but they are too big to eat at my feeder!!

The Bird Ballad Suite gives us lots of ways to celebrate our friends.

I used the single bird image from the Free As A Bird stamp set, and coloured him with my Seaside Spray and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. I haven’t actually seen any birds that look like this at my feeder, but I like this little guys cheery colours. The backdrop is a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Bird Ballad pack, cut with a Layering Circle die so the bird would pop through! My sentiment is from the same stamp set, stamped in Seaside Spray and punched with the Classic Label punch. Just a simple ‘Hello’ to my bird friends who have returned after a winter away.
I used a few Gold Metallic Pearls to decorate my card.
