Just Add Photos

Christmas Day is over, and I hope you took some pictures to document this unusual year. This is not a year or a Christmas we will soon forget, but this is all part of our journey, and part of our story. I look forward to including this in my scrapbooks so future generations will know this story.

I like to work on scrapbook layouts over the Christmas season while I have all my pretty Christmas paper and stamps handy from my card making.
For these pages I used Designer Series Paper from the gorgeous Poinsettia Place pack. This one has creamy yellows that show off the poinsettia flowers, and create a non-traditional colour palette for this layout.

I cut the Designer Series Paper with the Curvy Dies that are in the new Mini catalogue. I loved the detail created on the right side of the cut, but when it was layed on my Very Vanilla cardstock it got lost. I laid it over some Garden Green cardstock, and now the detail pops!

I cut a large oval for a photo, along with some pieces cut with the stitched rectangles for another photo and some journaling

The individual poinsettia flowers are cut from another sheet of the DSP in this pack. Two of the flowers were cut with the coordinating die from Poinsettia Dies, and one was fussy cut.
I kept my title simple, just Merry Christmas, but I did make it with Gold Embossing to make it eye catching!

The Poinsettia Place DSP has some gorgeous patterns, great for card making and scrapbooking!

Happy Crafting everyone.
