Double Wonder - Step It Up
The Double Wonder layout for cards is a fun way to use your beautiful Designer Series Paper and create 11 pretty cards. They can be quick and easy, but at my class last week we stepped it up a notch, adding extra layers and embellishments.
I used the Heartwarming Hugs DSP for my cards. I liked the colours in this paper when I purchased it, but hadn’t played with it much. I have to say that now that I have made all these cards with it, I love it!
We started with our cutting instructions for the DSP, which give you lots of patterns to play with. The first ones we made had 3 pieces of DSP, and enough to make 4 cards.
I used Pear Pizzazz, Real Red and Mossy Meadow ink and cardstock for my layers and card bases. My sentiments on these cards are all from the Wrapped In Christmas stamp set. I used Real Red Sheer Ribbon, Real Red Braided Linen Trim and Gold Metallic Pearls to embellish the cards.
The next set of cards are an easy fancy fold, with part of the front of the card folded back on itself. There are enough strips of DSP to make 4 cards in this style.
The colours are the same, but I also used the from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set, along with Mossy Meadow Diagonal Stripe Ribbon, Gilded Gems and Wonderful Gems to embellish these cards.
The last set of DSP gives you 2 more cards in one style, and 1 card with the last pieces of DSP.
For these cards I added a sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set, Gold Glitter Enamel Dots, and Clear Rhinestones for embellishments.
We had a fun evening working on our cards and chatting. If you missed the class, there is another scheduled for Thursday, November 26. Email greatstamping@gmail.com to reserve your spot and join in the fun!
