World Card Making Day
Today is World Card Making Day. Why not join the fun and spend some time crafting today, making a lovely hand made card to send someone. It will absolutely brighten their day, and you get to have fun creating.
With cottage season winding down, I decided to make a card reminding me of summer fun. I used the smaller boat from the Sailing Home stamp set, and stamped in Early Espresso on Soft Seafoam cardstock. I cut it out with the Layering Oval Dies, and my Early Espresso frame is cut with the Stitched Shapes dies. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set.
The background is made using two pieces of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, mounted on Early Espresso cardstock, with a Soft Seafoam card base. I used three Gold Metallic Pearls to embellish my sentiment strip.
Any while we are talking about card making . . . here are a couple cards I received in the mail recently. Everyone loves getting happy mail, and when you get a card in the mail it puts a smile on your face and makes your whole day better.
I hope you will make a card AND send a card today. Celebrate World Card Making Day!
