What Is That DSP?
I have been having great fun colouring on Designer Series Paper with my Stampin’ Blends. You can see one of my recent posts here. Today I have another card that uses a gorgeous piece of DSP, and I have coloured it to change it up.
Do you recognize the DSP? It is one of the patterns from the lovely Garden Lane. Here is a picture of the whole pack.
I coloured the DSP with my Dark Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blend. I love how it totally changes the look of the paper. The greens in this pack are beautiful, but now the focus is yellow, a bright change! Here is the DSP before I coloured it.
I love them both, but wanted to do some colouring, and I love the end result, so this card is my submission for the Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge - Designer’s Choice.
My backdrop is Pineapple Punch card stock, embossed with the High Seas 3D embossing folder. I wanted the pattern, but I didn’t want it to look like waves, so I turned it sideways! Now it is just a random ripple pattern. I layered this on Old Olive, and a Mint Macaron card base.
My sentiment is from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set, stamped with Mint Macaron ink, and cut with a square Stitched Shape die. I added 3 Gold Metallic Pearls to finish it off.
