A Great Upcycle Project
Yesterday we celebrated my daughter's birthday, so now I can post this super fast and easy upcycle project for you. My daughter loves everything from Bath and Body Works, and I must admit that I really like them too. In addition to their wonderful products, they have super cute bags with a blue check pattern. The bags also include a great big logo, so they are not perfect to use as a gift bag as is, but that is easy to fix.
In my post the other day I mentioned how Laura loves animals. You can see that post here. I decided to make her birthday card with the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper, but there were so many great patters I had trouble decided which one to use. I will post her card in a future post, but in order to use as much DSP as I could cram into one birthday, I decided it would be great to use to cover the logo on the bag, making my gift bag a truly Animal Expedition inspired bag. Here is the bag.
I thought about adding some other embellishments to the bag, but in the end I just wanted to show the super cute DSP so big squares it was, and I left it to show for itself. This whole project took only a minute to make, but turned a shopping bag into a truly personalized gift bag. What a great way to upcycle and keep this bag out of the trash.
