Stamp & Cut
Sometimes I like to give ‘odd’ instructions during my Connie’s Craft Along Events. It’s all in good fun, and everyone knows we will end up with pretty cards, but if I ask you to stamp a scene and then cut it up, you may wonder what I’m up to!
We always start with a bunch of bits and pieces, then we craft together to create pretty finished projects.
I have been playing with the Oceanfront stamp set quite a bit lately, it goes with my summertime mood! I used it to create my first scene, then cut it up to create a pretty card.
I used Pool Party, So Saffron and Early Espresso inks to create my beach scene. The sentiment is from another current fav, Heron Habitat, and I added some Solid Faceted Gems in Pool Party to finish it off.
The second card is really the same, I just swapped out the Pool Party ink for Balmy Blue. The sentiment on this card is from Friends Are Like Seashells, and I used Fine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Gems for my embellishement.
For the third card we completely changed things, starting with a landscape layout. The stamp set is Grassy Grove, and I used Masking Paper to mask the grass and add some colour to my horizon using blending brushes. I love using Blending Brushes to add a bit of soft colour to my cards.
