Daffodil Afternoon Thank You
Welcome, Leonie Schroder, to FAB Stampers!!
Before I get started, I want to introduce you to our newest FAB Stamper. Leonie Schroder is a FABulous demonstrator in Australia. Stay tuned to see some of her gorgeous projects in upcoming posts!
Today it's Jeanne’s turn and she is making a very simple Thank You card using the Daffodil Afternoon DSP (Designer Series Paper). You can get this Sale-a-bration paper FREE until the end of the month with a qualifying order!!
Daffodil Afternoon DSP
In this simple card, the DSP does all the work!
I simply cut a card base from Pear Pizzazz (5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 on the long side). Next, I cut a layer of Flirty Flamingo (4 x 5 1/4). Before I adhered this to the panel, I cut the scalloped circle from the center. It's a great way to save paper, and it gets covered up anyway!
I cut the DSP to 3 3/4 x 5 and layered it onto the Flirty Flamingo Panel.
Next, I cut a 1/2 x 5 1/2-inch strip of Pear Pizzazz, embossed it with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and layered it across the front of the card on top of the DSP.
Details
I stamped the Thank You on Very Vanilla using Memento Tuxedo Black and cut it out with the Hippo & Friends Die. Then, I cut a smooth circle from Pear Pizzazz using the Layering Circles Dies.
These were layered together along with the scalloped circle I cut earlier from the Flirty Flamingo Panel and adhered to the card with Dimensionals.
I stamped and cut the butterfly from the Daffodil Daydreams Stamp Set on Very Vanilla, colored it with Pale Papaya and Flirty Flamingo Blends. See the sparkle? That was added by brushing the butterfly with Wink of Stella.
I carefully folded up the wings on each side of the butterfly's body, which left me with a small flat space to add glue and attach without gluing down the wings. So, he's always in flight!
I finished off with Rhinestone Basic Jewels colored with the Flirty Flamingo Blends.
Assembly Line Stamping
I was able to get six panels from one sheet of 12 x 12 DSP, so I made several of these cards at one time. You'd think I'd be stocked up, but no, these have all gone out in the mail, except for one display. I hope you enjoyed these simple cards, and don't forget Sale-a-bration ends February 28, so get this paper while you can!
Thanks for sharing these pretty cards Jeanne.
