Blending Brushes and Sympathy Cards
I love the soft backgrounds you can create with Blending Brushes, not to mention how much fun it is to play with colours, swirling them into soft patterns.
I used Pale Papaya, Granny Apple Green and Rich Razzleberry to create some background pieces, and knew right away they would be a perfect reflection for sympathy cards. After I created the background, I stamped the flowers from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set using Memento Black ink. The sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips stamp set, stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink, and die cut with the Picture This Dies. I tied a Pale Papaya bow around my background piece and mounted it on a Pale Papaya card base.
I made the same type of background for the second card, but stamped this one with the flowers from the Nature’s Harvest stamp set. The sentiment is from the same set, and die cut with one of the dies from the Potted Succulents Dies. I finished off this card with some Genial Gems in Pale Papaya.
I always like to have nicely coordinated envelops, so stamped these with the small flowers from the Nature’s Harvest stamp set, using Pale Papaya ink. Needing to send sympathy cards is never a happy event, but sending a pretty card to show you care makes the task a little easier.
