It's A Party!
It’s a party! A Paper Pumpkin Party! I love Paper Pumpkin Kits - the fabulous box that comes to my door each month and is filled with everything I need for a fun crafting escape.
This is one of the cards from the March Kit, Here’s To You. I love the pretty background card in this kit.
This is the other style of card in the kit, and there are coordinating envelope liners as part of this kit as well. You can certainly make all the cards as the kit outlines, or you can mix and match, add some of your own products, or alter the pieces in the kit.
For this card I used one of the envelope liner flaps as some patterned paper for my card. The stamped images use the stamps in the kit.
This card uses the flap from they other style of envelope liner, along with stamps, ink and twine from the kit. Of course it these are the flaps, I still have the rest of the liner to use on additional cards!
The third alternate card I made I decided to use one of the background pieces, but wanted to add some trees on the left side as well. Pretty Peacock is one of the coordinating colours in this kit, so I decided to use the tree image stamp and Pretty Peacock ink to add some extra trees.
You can see from the photo above, my plan did not work too well. Even though Pretty Peacock is a dark colour, it was no match for the intense Bumblebee hills.
But it is good to remember that in stamping there are no mistakes, only opportunities, so I simply adhered my sentiment over the area that didn’t stamp too well, and you can still see my tree tops!
I host a Paper Pumpkin Party each month for us to gather virtually and craft. We work on our kit and share some alternate ideas. It’s great fun, and we end up with lots of great cards and inspiration.
If you live in Canada, I would love to have you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin through me, and join us at our monthly party. Just click HERE to subscribe. You may skip a month if you choose, and you can cancel at any time, but you won’t know how great it is unless you give it a try.
