Butterfly Brilliance Collection - Part 3
Today is the third (and final for now) installment in my Butterfly Brilliance Collection launch. I have had a great time creating with this wonderful collection and have three more cards to share with you today.
Today I’m using some of the pretty Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper, and the Natural Touch Specialty Paper.
The Butterfly Bijou DSP is all wonderful, but this sheet is definitely one of my favourites. The Brilliant Wings Dies coordinate with the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set, but the large die also coordinates with this piece of DSP. One run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine and you will have six beautiful butterflies coloured and cut, ready for easy card crafting.
I used two of the butterflies from the DSP for this card, along with some strips of another sheet of DSP and some Misty Moonlight cardstock. I also made an embossed background using the die with the Impression Mats that turn a die into an embossing tool.
You can see the butterflies embossed on my background. It adds a subtle texture, and makes your dies more versatile.
I used another butterfly cut from Mint Macaron cardstock for my sentiment. It is difficult to see, but I also painted Wink of Stella on this butterfly to add some shimmer.
I had some extra DSP left, so I added a strip punched with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch to the inside of my card.
The second card uses another die cut butterfly, and I used some of the Natural Touch Specialty Paper for my back drop.
The Natural Touch Specialty Paper has a lovely woodgrain, and is lightly embossed to give it a real wood look. The background layer on this card is embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. The sentiment on this card is from the Ride The Range stamp set, and I embellished the card with some Fine Art Ribbon.
For the third card, I used more of the Natural Touch Specialty Paper, but this time I used the back. I also embossed it with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.
This side of the paper has a subtle pattern with some shading, giving an interesting look to this side of the paper.
My sentiment on this card is from the Enjoy The Moment stamp set. I love this sentiment, but felt it was especially appropriate for a card with a butterfly. I added some Gold Twine from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack. I looped the twine, and secured it on the back of my sentiment piece with some Stampin’ Seal and a small strip of cardstock to really hold it in place.
The Butterfly Brilliance Bundle will be available in the new upcoming Annual Catalogue, but the Butterfly Bijou DSP and Natural Touch Specialty Paper will only be available until May 3, and only while supplies last.
I hope you have enjoyed my posts showcasing the Butterfly Brilliance Collection. It is a truly stunning collection, so I’m sure I will have more posts that feature these products, but my next post will mix things up a bit and use some different products!
