Ride The Range - Stepping It Up
Have you seen the Ride The Range Bundle in the January to June Mini Catalogue? It is one of those bundles that could be easy to pass by, but for some reason it called to me. It may have been the sentiments, ones that remind us to enjoy the life we have been given, or perhaps the images of farm life, something I have always been drawn to.
Today I have three cards, #simplestamping, a second card that is stepped up a bit with extra layers and embellishments, and a third card that goes all out with die cuts and a whole scene of Riding The Range!
All cards were created with just one pack of cardstock - Neutrals, and coordinating ink.
The first card shows a great way to make a card with just a few supplies. Crumb Cake and Merry Merlot cardstock, Early Espresso ink, and the Ride The Range stamp set. The line images have lots of interest as is, and make a great background, as well as focal point for this card.
The second card uses the same stamped background, but adds an additional layer of Early Espresso cardstock under the focal image. I also coloured the rider and the horse blanket with my Stampin’ Blends.
The sentiment was stamped on a scrap piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and punched with the Tailored Tag punch. I punched a second piece of Merry Melot, and cut it in half to create a frame for my sentiment.
I wrapped Faux Suede Ribbon around the cardstock and adhered the sentiment over it using Dimensionals.
For the third card I used a number of the dies from the Open Range Dies, part of the Bundle.
I die cut the horse and rider, hay stacks, fence, windmill and clouds. The bottom of the card is also cut with one of the dies to create the rolling landscape of my farm.
I added a little more colour to my horse and rider, again using Stampin’ Blends markers.
I folded over a small piece of the Faux Suede Ribbon, and adhered it under my haystacks which are added to the card with Dimensionals. The sentiment and frame are cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies.
I also stamped, coloured and die cut the cows to add an accent to the inside of the card.
I love the versatility of this bundle to make simple stamping cards, or stepping up as much as you like. Be sure to check out this farm friendly bundle!
