Simple Stamping - New or Vintage

Just because a card is simple to make doesn’t mean it will be plain or boring. There are so many great stamps and colours to choose from, the possibilites are endless.

Today I decided to go with a monochromatic look, using only Soft Suede and Very Vanilla. I selected a few different stamps from the Crafting Forever stamp set and randomly stamped them on my Very Vanilla card stock background. The frame is Soft Suede card stock, and the card base is Thick Very Vanilla. The semtiment, stamped with Soft Suede ink is from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set, bordered again with, you guessed it, Soft Suede card stock.
There are all sorts of fantastic colours to choose, but sometimes I really like a monochromatic look too.

If you want to step it up a bit, it is easy to turn this into a vintage look card. Simply sponge the background stamping by lightly rubbing ink in a circular motion with a Stamping Sponge.

Shading the background this way gives your card a real vintage look, and is super easy to do. I changed my sentiment on this card, using another stamp from the Crafting Forever stamp set, and cut it with the Stitched Shapes dies.

Whether you choose a fresh new look or an older vintage look, these cards are simple to create and look amazing.
