Cleaning Up and Creating
Today I spent some time finishing some Christmas cards I had started a while ago, and then it was clear I needed to do some cleaning up! I decided to take the bits and pieces I had been collecting and make them into tags.
When I’m creating cards I often cut out extra pieces, or sometimes I cut something thinking it will work, but it doesn’t so it gets set aside. Today I gathered those cut outs and turned them into cute gift tags.
I started with Whisper White and Very Vanilla Thick cardstock and cut 5 1/2 x 2 inch strips. I punched the tops with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch, then added some Designer Series Paper. This is a great way to use up some of the smaller pieces that are left after card making. I used the Layered Oval Dies to cut frames for my tags, and embossed them with the Wrapped In Texture embossing folders.
Then I added my bits and pieces, some embellishments and Braided Linen Trim.
I made a couple with some miscellaneous pieces.
A few with trees.
And finished off with a dose of cute!
These were easy and fun to make, and will look great on whatever packages I attach them to.
Why not gather some of your scraps and bits that are left from your card making and make some pretty gift tags.
