What A Difference A Card Base Makes

You may recall, back in August I made some sheets of my own Designer Series Paper using the Lovely You Stamp Set. I pulled out some of that paper and made a couple more cards with it.

This paper was too pretty to have sitting idle, and I knew I would go back to it, today is the day. I made two cards to share, and I was kind of surprised at what a difference a card base can make!

This card uses blues, with a Misty Moonlight fame and ribbon, and Seaside Spray card base and sentiment frame.

This card used the exact same DSP, but has more of the Just Jade frame showing, and a Soft Seafoam card base and sentiment frame.

The overall effect of these cards is quite different, even though they have many similar items, and the largest part, the DSP is cut from the one piece I made.
If you are aren’t feeling creative, just pull out one of your previous cards and remake it using a different colour scheme. I may look totally different, and that can help get your creative juices flowing again.
