Backwards Kissing

Recently I showed you the Kissing Technique. Today my card uses the other stamp that I had inked for that technique. Kind of backwards kissing!

This stamp will have more of the dark colour ink, but touches of the lighter colour will show through where the ink transferred.
You may recall that I used the trees from the Winter Woods stamp set on one of my cards, inked with Merry Merlot. I had kissed it to the stamp with the Seaside Spray ink. This is the tree stamp image that was created with that process. You can see that it is mainly Merry Merlot, but there are some areas that have a more purple hue from the Seaside Spray ink mixing with the Merry Merlot. It is more subtle than the other way round, but can create an interesting look as well.
I cut my image with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, and framed it with Silver Foil Paper. I mounted that on Merry Merlot cardstock and a Seaside Spray card base.
My sentiment is from Good Morning Magnolia, stamped with Merry Merlot and cut with the Layering Ovals Dies along with another Silver Foil Paper frame. I mounted my sentiment on top of some Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon that I had wrapped around the card.

What do you think? It doesn’t show off the technique the same way, but I think it works. Let me know in the comments what you think.
