Simple Stamping or Step It Up
Did you get some lovely gifts over the holidays that now you want to send a thank you for? Why not send a beautiful hand made card to let the giver know how much the gift meant to you? You can make a beautiful hand crafted card easily with #simplestamping, or if you prefer, step it up a bit with some extra embellishments. I have both for you today!
I used the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set for both my cards. This is wonderful Sale-a-Bration stamp set that you could select for FREE with any $60 order. It is a fantastic set that includes lots of pretty flower and leaf images, as well as sentiments, so you have everything you need in one set to make beautiful cards.
This lovely card shows how easy it is to make a hand crafted card with just stamps, ink and paper. I used Mossy Meadow ink to stamp 2 of the leaf images on Seaside Spray card stock, creating a pretty background for my card. I used 2 3/4” square piece of Whisper White card stock to stamp leaves in Mossy Meadow, flowers in Grapefruit Grove with a Seaside Spray centre, and my Thank You sentiment in Seaside Spray ink. The card base is Thick Whisper White card stock. This stamp set is photopolymer, so it is easy to stamp the flowers over the leaf stems, as well as the flower centres. This card is quick and easy to make, but nothing beats hand made to say “I really appreciate your thoughtfulness”.
If you want to step it up a bit, I made another version of the card using more layers, a Grapefruit Grove card base, embellishments, and the coordinating flower punch that you could also earn for FREE with a $120 purchase.
My background on this card is the same as before, but cut 1/4” smaller to allow for a Mossy Meadow frame. My flowers were stamped in Grapefruit Grove on Seaside Spray card stock and punched with the Small Bloom Punch. I popped them up on the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, and added a Gold Metallic Pearl to the centre of each one. I added a strip of 1/8” Grosgrain Ribbon in Grapefruit Grove, and finished it off with a bow.
