A Crafted Wedding

I had so much fun preparing for our wedding. It was a very “paper-crafted” wedding, with lots of handmade decor that reflected the joy MSH (My Sweet Husband) and I felt as we shared our vows with family and friends. These were the table favours and name place cards I made for each of our guests.

They look white in the photo, but these are actually the Silver Mini Gable Boxes available in the annual catalogue. I cut flower layers in Blackberry Bliss and Highland Heather using the Eclectic Layers Thinlits, making some with a dark background and light outline, and some in reverse with a light background and dark outline for the flower. I also cut leaves in Mossy Meadow used the leaf thinlit from the same set. I will confess that I used a spay adhesive to glue the flowers together. I made about 70 of these little boxes for our guests and a few other thank yous, so it was faster this way! I attached them to the boxes with snail, and used glue dots on 3 of the leaves for the stem, leaving the other leaves loose on the box for a little more texture.

I typed the names on the computer and printed them on Very Vanilla card stock. I love that our Whisper White and Very Vanilla card stock can be used in a regular home printer, it is very handy for this type of crafting. After printing, I punched the names out with the Pretty Label punch and attached them with snail. I filled the boxes with 3 yummy hand crafted chocolates. Since these were table favours for the dinner AFTER the ceremony, I used my new name!
