Happy New Year
It is New Year’s Eve, and that often means reminiscing about the past year, and looking forward and planning for the new year to come. I know not too many people send New Year’s cards, but one year I just couldn’t get Christmas cards sent, so instead I sent New Year’s cards. It was a great way to kick off the new year, and wish all my friends and family the very best for the coming year.
This is the card I made that year. They were quick and easy to make, but with all the glitter and shine they were very festive. I punched various sized circles from Silver and Black glimmer paper, along with Silver Foil paper, and glued them in a random pattern on my Basic Black card front. I used White Craft ink to stamp my greeting, in a random line, mixing both upper and lower case letters for a bit of fun. A few clear rhinestones, rounded out the glitter and shine on my card.
If you are in charge of taking the bubbly for New Year’s, why not dress up the bottle and wish everyone a Happy New Year at the same time. This is from a retired stamp set, as I made this a few years ago, but if you still have the stamp, you too could quickly dress up your New Year’s bottles for gifting.
I hope you have enjoyed my posts over the past week, looking back at some of the projects over the years.
Have a very Happy New Year, and I wish you all the best for 2020.
The new Mini catalogue will go live in a few days, so there is lots of wonderful new projects in store.
Next up, let the new year crafting begin!!
