Thinking of You at Christmas
How true is this? Christmas often makes us think of family and friends, perhaps ones we haven’t seen for a while. These thoughts usually also bring to mind happy memories and times we have shared with the special people in our lives.
My card today is for the Stampin’ Up! #simplestamping challenge for December. The theme is Thinking of You, and since it is December, I decided to make a Christmas card! This card is really easy to make, and you do not need a lot of supplies, so if you are new to stamping, it is easy to get started at making your own beautiful hand made cards for Christmas or any time of year.
I used a beautiful stamp set called Nature’s Beauty. This is a gorgeous stamp set with animal line art, along with some tree, grass and snow image stamps. Another great thing about this stamp set is that it is the Difference Maker stamp set. For every set sold, Stampin’ Up! donates $4.00 to a Mental Health Organization. In Canada, this is CAMH.
I used Grey Granite card stock for my background, and stamped the snow image in Seaside Spray ink. I used Memento Black ink to stamp the deer over the snow spots. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set. I used a 1 1/2 inch square piece of Grey Granite card stock, and stamped with Real Red ink, on the diamond. I then dragged the edges over the ink pad to give it a bit of definition. Super simple but makes your piece pop! I mounted it on a 1 1/4 inch strip of Real Red card stock, with a Real Red card base.
A quick and easy card to create, and you have hand stamped beauty to let everyone special know you are thinking of them at Christmas.
