Seeing Spots
I was playing with Sponge Daubers, making polka dots on card stock, and thought it would make a fun background for a card. Here are two cards that I made with those backgrounds.
I wanted to leave lots of the background exposed, so I decided to stamp right on my polka dot sheet. I used Copper embossing powder so my image and greeting would stand out against the spots. After that I was playing around with the layering.
For this card I added a narrow layer behind my polka dots, then used wider layers for the rest of the card. I made my Grapefruit Grove layer wide enough to tie some 1/4” Copper Trim on as an accent to coordinate with the Copper embossing.
On this card, I used the Grapefruit Grove as the border layer for my polka dots, again making it wide enough for the Copper Trim. I then used wide and narrow layers to finish my card.
