Valentine Treat Tutorial

I’m working on some Valentine’s Day Treat holders, and thought I would share a fun little tutorial with you. These are quick and easy to make, and you can drop in any candy you like to share with friends for Valentime’s Day.

I used Melon Mambo card stock for my treat box, and Melon Mambo ink for my stamping.

All measurements are in inches
Start with a piece of card stock 7 x 2 3/4. On the short side, score at 1 1/2. On the long side, score at 1 1/2, 3, 4 1/2, 6. Fold and burnish all score lines with a bone folder.

The 1 1/4 piece is the top, and the 1 1/2 section is the bottom. Cut the bottom right corner (1 x 1 1/2) right out, and cut angle notches on the pieces marked with the arrows.

Apply Tear & Tape as shown below.

Fold box together and secure. The flap with no tape will be the bottom outside of your box.

To decorate your box, use the Happy Valentine’s Day stamp from the Heartfelt Bundle, stamped on Whisper White card stock with Melon Mambo ink. Use the plain heart from the Heart Punch Pack to punch out. Punch a ruffled heart from the Punch Pack from Sparkle Glimmer paper.

Use Dimensionals to adhere the stamped heart to the glimmer heart.

Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere your heart to the box. Be careful with glue placement as the heart is larger than the box.
Fill your your favourite treat.
